The 10 finalists for Tuesday’s Startup World Cup Sacramento regional competition happening at the Rock & Brews Restaurant at Cal Expo were just announced. More than fifty startup founders submitted applications over the last month, hoping to be selected. This is the first time in history that Sacramento has participated in a qualifying event for the Startup World Cup.

Judges
The judging panel for the competition was selected from local venture capital firms and angel investing organizations. They include Moneta Ventures managing partner, Lokesh Sikaria, Growth Factory founding partner, Mark Haney, Jaguar Ventures founder, Kevin Nagle. and Sacramento Angels Chairman, John Peters.
The winner of the Sacramento Region Finale will move on to compete at the Startup World Cup Semifinals and Grand Finale happening in San Francisco September 28-30. In the Grand Finale, startups from around the world will compete for a $1 million in investment grand prize.
