Good news! It looks like Washington is very close to passing another round of CARES Act relief! Last Thursday, both the SBA Disaster Relief Loan (EIDL) and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) were shut down because all of the funds initially allocated were used up. But they may open up again as early as this week. The Northern California SBDC is staying on top of it with updates and a Q&A sessions every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:30 am. Last week I mentioned that the Greater Sacramento Economic Council is launching a free interactive tool to help businesses through this economic downturn. The online tool, SizeUp, provides custom market research and data to empower companies to make strategic and data-driven decisions on their next move. TechStars is holding a Global Online Startup Weekend with the theme, Unite to Fight Covid-19. More than 60 countries will be part of the Global Online Startup Weekend. The events are free to attend and Techstars will select up to 20 teams from all the country level winners and invite them to participate in an exclusive Techstars Innovation Bootcamp.
