Ok, ok, I admit it — my subject line this week was totally clickbate (as well as the adorable image!). I’ve been writing this digest week in and week out for over five years and sometimes I get writer’s block. I’m sure in whatever kind of work you do, you sometimes fall short of creative energy. What do you do to get your groove back? It’s not that nothing is happening in our region — there is a ton of stuff going on — but nothing new hit my radar this week so I’m out of original things to share. So bear with me–hopefully next week I’ll find my mojo again! (What’s not to believe? That I ran out of things to say!)

SacWomenBizTech hosts its second event Thursday evening at Uptown Studios. Come learn how three female startup founders are rockin’ their businesses! The panel include Venita Sivamani, CEO of Dermveda; Elizabeth Dodson, cofounder of HomeZada; and Nora O’Brien, CEO of Connect Consulting Services. Mariah Lichtenstern, founder of Cineshares and the co-founder of DiverseCity Ventures will moderate. Startup Grind has a bonus event this month in celebration of Startup Grind Global’s BlockChain month. On Monday, 8/27, they’re partnering up with the Sacramento Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency meetup group and the new McClellan Innovation Center for a fireside chat with Graham McBain, cofounder of LayerOne.
