TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco 2018

The ability to get your startup in front of interested investors is a consistent challenge that most startups face. Perhaps one of the best single places and events to have that opportunity is at TechCrunch Disrupt. At the upcoming TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, September 5-7, startups will have the chance to get in front of media and investors.

With over 10,000 attendees and 400+ media outlets, Disrupt SF is the place where you can find new customers, get media attention, and meet future investors. According to CrunchBase, last year’s Startup Alley exhibitors raised over $37M in seed and series A funding within four months after exhibiting at Disrupt SF.

Now, imagine if our Sacramento startup community could pull together a delegation of local startups for a Sacramento Startups Pavilion. Hoping to get more of a presence from Sacramento at this year’s event, the TechCrunch Disrupt organizers reached out to us for help in selecting the best startups to represent Sacramento for a Sacramento delegation.

To qualify for the discounted pavilion pricing, they’re looking for a minimum 8 startups from the Sacramento region to exhibit together for one day of TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco. Startups must be pre-series A. (Pre-series A means that companies should not have received a round of significant venture capital funding yet.)

The startups would have access to CrunchMatch too, which is TechCrunch’s matchmaking service between startups and investors. This year, the investors who are already lined up to come to Disrupt SF have investment funds in excess of $4B, and more are expected to sign up in the coming weeks. Also, over the course of the three-day conference, there will be curated tracks for 12 different verticals, plus multiple workshops and networking opportunities.

Now, that said, there is a cost for exhibiting at Disrupt SF. Normally the Early Bird pricing for a Startup Alley Exhibitor Package is $1995 (minimum 3 passes at $665 each). But the organizers have offered a modest discount if we can get at least 8 startups to commit. So we’re looking to gauge the interest of Sacramento startups. We’re collecting information on any promising Sacramento startups that might be interested in the chance to exhibit with other Sacramento area startups at Disrupt. Interested? Contact us!
