While the Sacramento region has a lot to offer entrepreneurs, let’s not forget our close proximity to all the wonderful resources in the world’s Startup Capital, the San Francisco Bay Area. If you aren’t checking out what’s happening there, you are missing out.

There are two SF Bay Area-organized events I want to highlight this week. First, world-renowned angel investor and startup champion Jason Calacanis is offering Founder University 2-Day Intensive on June 13-14. It’s held virtually and you need to apply ASAP. This program is for founders with a product in market but before Series A. This is a free program. Learn more/apply

The second event is the Business AI Advanced Accelerator Program, an 8-week cohort-based accelerator for any company that uses unique data sets to power a business software AI solution. Apply by June 10. The program runs from July 25 to August 21. The accelerator prepares you to raise your first significant round of capital. It begins with a two day in-person camp in San Ramon. After the kickoff you are free to return to your home base. There is a $495 fee. Learn more/apply

Update on this week’s 1 Million Cups: I’m sad to report that the planned in-person gathering for 1 Million Cups has been canceled. It will be held on Zoom instead.
