Building a startup or small business can be challenging, but you do not have to figure everything out on your own. Some of the best ideas, introductions and opportunities come from simply getting in the same room with other people who are building, experimenting and solving problems.

On Tuesday, August 25, Startup Happy Hour is bringing founders, entrepreneurs, innovators and members of the Sacramento startup community together at EBISU Sushi in Elk Grove for an evening of conversation, connections and learning.

Meet Sacramento’s Startup Community

Startup Happy Hour is designed to make connecting with other entrepreneurs easier. There are no formal pitches and no pressure to walk into the room with a polished business or a perfect idea.

Whether you are developing your first business idea, growing an existing company or looking to become more involved in the regional startup community, the event is an opportunity to meet people who understand the challenges of building something new.

Attendees can exchange ideas, learn what others are working on and make connections that could lead to future customers, collaborators, mentors or simply someone who has faced a similar challenge.

Learn From IGH Naturals COO Rich Foreman

This month’s AMA guest is Rich Foreman, COO of IGH Naturals, a company that developed a patented formulation designed to help alleviate chemotherapy side effects.

IGH Naturals won Pitch Elk Grove last year, giving Rich firsthand experience with building a startup and competing within the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Before joining IGH Naturals, Rich was the founding CTO of Cordico, where he helped develop the CordicoShield and CordicoFire Wellness App before the company was acquired by Lexipol. He is also the Founding Director of Startup Grind Sacramento and Startup Folsom andis a board member of StartupSac. Rich has been involved in Sacramento’s startup and technology community for over a decade.

During the AMA, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Rich and ask questions about entrepreneurship, building companies, navigating challenges and lessons learned throughout his startup journey.

Build Connections That Can Move Your Business Forward

Networking is not just about collecting business cards. For early stage founders and small business owners, the right conversation can provide a new perspective on a problem, introduce you to a useful resource or connect you with someone who can help you take the next step.

Startup Happy Hour creates an informal environment where those conversations can happen naturally.

It is also an opportunity to learn more about what is happening across the Sacramento region and meet founders, innovators and ecosystem leaders who are actively contributing to the local entrepreneurial community.
