Kings Capitalize Results

Congratulations to Shared Vision, winner of the 2023 Kings Capitalize Tech contest! They were awarded the $10,000 first place prize at Friday night’s Kings vs the Suns game. The Shared Vision software helps your favorite content creators and influencers more easily manage the products that they recommend to you; improving your experience with finding and purchasing products wherever they recommend them. (And the Kings won! #LightTheBeam!)

Pitch Elk Grove

Founders – heads up! Pitch Elk Grove, a startup competition that offers startups in the greater Sacramento region a chance to gain visibility, receive mentorship, and win up to $10,000 in prize money, is back for its second year! Pitch Elk Grove provides innovative, early stage, investable startups the opportunity to showcase their companies at a live pitch event on May 18 in Elk Grove. Prize money of $17,500 will be awarded: Best Startup $10k, Runner Up $5k, and Best Elk Grove-based Startup $2.5k. The application deadline is April 17 at 5 PM. Learn how to apply here.

A pitch deck is a required part of the application for Pitch Elk Grove. If you don’t have a deck yet, join StartupSac and Josh David Miller on Tuesday, April 11 at 11:30 AM on Zoom for a workshop on creating or improving your investor pitch deck. RSVP

Inno Madness – Final Four

The Sacramento Business Journal’s Inno Madness contest is down to the Final Four! There is no prize money, and there are no pitches necessary. It’s just for fun and glory. Along the way, local startups get exposure to more people. In the third round, it’s California Cultured vs Matrubialsand GameMic vs EyeRate. Voting for the third round runs through 9 a.m. on March 28. Vote here.

Sacramento Creative Business Innovation Challenge

A 6-week intensive course for Sacramento-based creative business owners.
