Thursday was a busy morning at the historic Crest Theater in downtown Sacramento with a combined press conference by the Greater Sacramento Area Economic Council and a full slate of civic tech and gov tech startups presenting their solutions to civic and government issues.

The morning events kicked off with Sacramento Mayor Elect Steinberg committing to continue the effort to grow Sacramento into an innovation hub, followed by the announcement of and remarks from Sheri Atwood of Support Pay relocating to Sacramento.

Following the announcement and a short break the event moved on to the Civic Tech Showcase part of the program, featuring 19 startups, organized by Innovate Your State.
