It’s been more than a year since #MeToo entered our national dialogue. Let’s examine what progress we have made.

There’s still a lack of representation of women and people of color in organizational leadership and the venture community. And that under-representation has consequences – $90 million dollar severance packages to harassers. This sends a cultural message that a predator will still get compensated for bad behavior.

In addition, less than 2% of women founders received funding last year – even less for women of color. This influences economic opportunity and it has long term consequences to our communities. Studies have shown that when women are funded, they pour their economic success into our communities at a greater rate than men.

Join us as we outline the dynamics of the problem and brainstorm practical strategies to solve this problem and transform workplace culture.
