Japa Inc. won the 1st Place and $10,000 at the 4th Annual Kings Capitalize Startup Contest.  The contest was open to startups in the Sacramento Region and in the March Madness Style, it went from 64 startups to a final four with JAPA wining the grand prize with contest determined by votes on Twitter and local judges at the Sacramento Kings Tech Night on April 4, 2019.

Japa first started as a student-led project to solve the parking problems faced on campus at an entrepreneurship course at UC Davis.  Japa has developed a hardware and software platform that that shows that real-time analytics to determine violations, lot occupancy and other data.   Last year, they won UC Davis Big Bang! Competition prize of $10,000 and currently have raised $250,000 in seed funding.
