Learn the Fundamentals of Starting and Growing a Food Business at Alchemist Microenterprise Academy’s 12-week online food business training program.

Starting a food business is challenging. Like any business, you need to develop a product or service that resonates with your potential customers. Additionally, food business have unique health and regulatory requirements that need to be complied with. There’s a lot to learn in order to put yourself on the track to success. Fortunately, there are specific programs available in the region that can provide food entrepreneurs with the knowledge and resources to be more successful.

For years, Alchemist Food Academy (AMA) has provided business training programs for entrepreneurs who are looking to launch their own food business. AMA is a 12-week business training course designed to cover the fundamentals of starting and growing a food business. AMA targets entrepreneurs in the greater Sacramento region, particularly those who are from low-income backgrounds or under-resourced communities. The Fall 2022 cohort will be mostly held on Zoom with a few optional in-person meetings.

Mandatory Information Sessions

AMA is providing information sessions live on Zoom every Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm between July 26 and August 16. They also have the option to watch the info session in a recorded, on-demand format. These information sessions explain about the program and how to apply. It is mandatory to attend either a live-on-Zoom or complete the on-demand AMA information session in order to apply for the program.
