For those of you who live east of Sacramento, I’ve got some great news! Things are happening in Folsom! There’s a new coworking space, Granite City Coworking, opening soon and 1 Million Cups will be giving their event space a test drive this Wednesday morning. Next month, StartupSac Happy Hour will be at the Gaslight Co. in Folsom on February 26, and April 12-14, a Startup Weekend Folsom is planned (stay tuned for more details and/or like Startup Weekend on Facebook)! We’re looking forward to seeing even more startup events happening in Folsom as the year progresses!

In other news….word on the street is that Kings Capitalize is coming back for 2019. This startup pitch competition is in its 4th year. Last year, $10,000 was awarded to Protxx, who makes a wearable medical device engineered to reduce the risks and severity of head impact injuries among athletes. In 2017, Trifeca won (come hear Greg Connolly tell their story at StartupSac Happy Hour tomorrow!). I expect applications will open up in the next week or so–start working on perfecting your Value Proposition! As soon as the call for applications comes out, we’ll give you all the details on StartupSac.com and of course in the Startup Digest.
