Temperatures aren’t the only thing that’s warming up here in Sacramento. The event scene is also starting to heat up with incubator programs, hackathons, workshops, and other opportunities to develop your idea, get involved in civic tech, or just dive into the Sacramento Startup scene.

Good things happen to those who hustle.  ~ Anais Nin

Got a great idea for a startup and ready to take it to the next level? Startup Hustle, a program from Hacker Lab and Sierra College, is still accepting applications, but you better hustle, the deadline is this coming Thursday,  Feb 18th. The Startup Hustle is an 8-Week Lean Startup Incubator designed to help you launch a new startup. This will be the second cohort for Startup Hustle and the program has received high praise from its first class.

“Startup Hustle exposed me to a wealth of strategies and tactics to validate some of the core assumptions of my product. It allowed me the opportunity to talk to potential customers and better understand their needs before writing a single line of code. I’m really grateful to Eric and the Hacker Lab team for launching this important program at such a unique time in Sacramento.” ~ Founder, Delivery Unit

The program begins February 24th. If your application is accepted, it will cost you $149 to participate (free to Hacker Lab members and Sierra College students).

West Sacramento has identified several opportunities for startups:

Public Works Department – Flood Alerts & Real Time Evacuation Routes
