Last week I shared information on helpful resources for entrepreneurs that go beyond events. SCORE was one of the resources I listed. Serendipitously, I ran into Keith Walter, the Board Chair for Sacramento SCORE, at last week’s StartupSac Happy Hour in Folsom. I learned that they have an on-demand webinar on the Business Model Canvas and that they also teach how to use it in one of their in-person workshops, How to Turn Your Idea into Action. The next one is in the morning on March 22 I’m I huge fan of the Business Model Canvas and if you’re not familiar with it, I encourage you to find out more about it. The canvas is a one-page document that allows you to test and validate the key parts of your business in a manageable format. Do check it out!
Congratulations are in order for the the 16 Startups selected to compete in the next round of the Kings Capitalize pitch contest! Those 8 will shoot it out on March 8 in a pitch contest, and then the final 4 will advance to compete at the Sacramento Kings Tech Night game on April 4. Learn who advanced here.
