In line with the spirit of Women’s History Month, Hacker Lab just announced the launch of MAKEHERS, a 60-day accelerator program that will empower, guide, and mentor low-income women in their entrepreneurial journey. They’ve also launched a crowdfunding campaign to support the program. You can find out more about MAKEHERS here and you can financially support the program here.

There are two weeks remaining in Women’s History Month (not that women’s history shouldn’t be celebrated all year ’round!). A couple of events that feature women entrepreneurs making history in the Sacramento region are coming up. This Tuesday, CleanStart Perspectives’ guest is Shira Lane, founder of the Atrium 916, a creative innovation center for sustainability offering space for impactful tech, art, and events through education, advocacy, and creative collaboration. Shira is also the creative director of UPcyclePOP, a pop-up market for artistically repurposed art, furniture, fashion, home design and inventions with workshops open to the public. RSVP

Next week, on March 30, Camille Richman, cofounder of Hamama, is the Startup Happy Hour guest. She’ll share her founder journey in a fireside chat followed by an Ask Me Anything from attendees. Hamama is a West Sacramento startup that makes growing superfood greens fun. She will give away a Hamama Starter Kit to one lucky attendee! RSVP
