With just a week to go before nearly everyone everyone shuts down for 10 days or so to celebrate the holidays and welcome in the New Year, you’re running out of time to gain more traction in 2018!. I have a few suggestions for things you can do this week to assure 2019 gets off to a good start!
One. Get Smart!
Register to attend Startup Grind’s Global Conference February 12-13. The conference provides an environment unlike anything else – where startups, partners, investors, thought leaders, and worldwide chapter directors come together for 2+ days of invaluable education, connection, and inspiration! I go to this conference every year and it’s amazing! If you get your tickets by January and you’ll save 55% off the $795 general admission price (that’s a discounted price of $355). Two. Get Practice!
Submit an application to present at 1 Million Cups Sacramento. Once the 1MC team gets your application, we’ll work with you to find a date that’s convenient. There are a just a few spots left in January and we’re already scheduling into February! Apply here.
Three. Get Planning!
I know you’re grinding, but it’s very beneficial to schedule time to attend Startup Community events. Why not put them in your 2019 schedule now? 1 Million Cups is every Wednesday morning from 9-10 a.m. — how about scheduling yourself to attend once a month? Startup Grind Sacramento features a fireside chat with an accomplished guest on the second Tuesday evening of the month (exceptions: 1/15 & 2/19). StartupSac Happy Hour occurs on the last Tuesday evening of every month except in December when we take a break. Pencil it in on your calendar!
Bonus. Get Recharged!
Consider unplugging for a week or even just a few days between Christmas and New Years. Forget the phone, the laptop, the tablet. Unplugging a great way to clear your mind and boost your creative energy!
Now back to the present…
