If you are generating revenue but still feel like your business is running on instinct instead of strategy, you are not alone. Many creative entrepreneurs reach a point where talent and traction are present, but structure, capital planning, and long term growth systems are not. That gap is exactly what the 2026 EveryDay Creative accelerator is designed to address.
Sacramento based creative founders are invited to apply for the 12-week EveryDay Creative accelerator, a focused program built to help growth stage creative businesses expand, strengthen operations, and prepare for capital. The program is managed by CLTRE in partnership with Creative Startups and funded by the City of Sacramento Office of Arts and Culture through federal American Rescue Plan funds.
Applications close March 1 at 11 p.m.
Who This Program Is For
This is not an introductory course for idea stage founders. EveryDay Creative is designed for entrepreneurs who already have foundational business skills.
You are a strong fit if you:
-
Earn at least $20,000 in annual revenue
-
Are building a growth focused creative company
-
Are ready to explore raising capital in a way that aligns with your values
The program prioritizes diverse founders and entrepreneurs who may face barriers to accessing traditional business resources and capital. If you are building in the creative economy and want to scale with intention, this accelerator was built for you.
What You Will Actually Work On
Over 12 weeks, participants meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7 p.m., beginning with kickoff sessions April 2 and 3. The program runs through June 26 and concludes with a public pitch night and graduation.
Inside the accelerator, you will:
-
Create a structured growth plan
-
Clarify your company values and long term vision
-
Evaluate whether outside capital aligns with your business
-
Develop a capital raise strategy
-
Receive mentorship from experienced advisors
-
Connect with a local and global network of creative founders
Creative Startups brings a global perspective. Its 800 plus alumni companies have created more than 4,500 jobs and raised $300 million in financing. Eighty two percent of graduates are women and people of color. Participants gain access to mentors who understand both creative industries and scalable business models.
Real Results From Sacramento Founders
Past Sacramento participants have used the program to sharpen positioning, refine strategy, and move toward sustainable growth.
Tri.Angle Media refined its growth strategy and clarified internal roles. Crispín Supper Club strengthened its business model while staying rooted in culture and sustainability. Let’s Go Studio’s founder shared with the City’s Arts and Culture Commission how the accelerator helped transform a creative practice into a viable business.
Participants who complete the program are eligible for non-dilutive investments ranging from $3,000 to $5,000 to accelerate company growth. This capital does not require giving up equity.
Cost and Accessibility
The full cost of the course is $2,995 per participant and is covered by the City of Sacramento. Accepted participants pay a $95 program fee for the entire 12-week experience. Payment plans are available.
If the fee is a barrier, you may submit a recommendation letter from a community leader who supports your entrepreneurial work.
Why Apply Now
Creative businesses shape Sacramento’s economy and culture. But sustainable growth requires more than creativity. It requires structure, capital literacy, and strategic planning.
If your company has traction and you are ready to build the systems behind your vision, this is the moment to apply. The 12-week commitment can reshape how you think about growth, funding, and long term sustainability.
