For over 40 years, the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy (SEA) has been Northern California’s longest-running entrepreneurship bootcamp, helping hundreds of founders build the skills, network, and confidence to launch successful ventures.
Each year, SEA brings together a diverse group of aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs for an immersive, hands-on learning experience unlike any classroom course. The 2026 cohort kicks off in January—and applications are now open.
Why SEA?
SEA’s 15-week program is built on collaboration, mentorship, and real-world execution. Fellows work in small, team-based groups at Sacramento State on Saturday mornings from January 10 – May 2, 2026, developing business plans, financial models, and investor-ready pitch decks with the support of mentors, experts, and peers.

The Experience
The program begins with a kickoff social where fellows meet the SEA Board and form teams, followed by 15 weeks of engaging workshops, expert-led sessions, and mentor-guided development. It all culminates in the SEA Showcase at the historic Elks Tower on May 12, where teams pitch their ventures to an audience of over 200 business and investment leaders.
Graduation takes place on May 15, celebrating the next generation of Sacramento’s entrepreneurs with awards for best business plan, showcase performance, and teamwork.
