A 12-week program to help Sacramento’s District 2 residents take their startup idea from concept to launch.

StartupSac is launching a new District 2 cohort of its entrepreneur training program this summer. This 12-week course is designed for people who have a startup idea they’ve been working on but haven’t yet launched. The program guides participants through every stage of building a business—from validating the idea to creating a plan and taking the first real steps. Applications are open now and due by June 13, 2025.

This is our second FastTrac cohort of 2025. A third cohort, launching this fall, will be open to all residents of the City of Sacramento (sign up to be notified when applications for fall open). The District 2 cohort is made possible through a grant from Golden 1 Credit Union and sponsorship from the Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. It is open exclusively to individuals who live in Sacramento’s District 2.

Empowering Entrepreneurs in District 2

Sessions will be held Wednesday evenings from July 9 through October 8, 2025, primarily at 1913 (1913 Del Paso Blvd, Sacramento). Some sessions may take place virtually via Zoom.

Participants will gain access to experienced mentors, a proven curriculum, and a supportive peer community. The program covers key business topics including legal structure, customer discovery, business planning, and funding options. Whether you’re just starting out or already working on a business idea, this training can help you move forward with confidence.

A Grant-Powered Opportunity

This program is funded by a grant from Golden 1 Credit Union as part of a broader initiative to support economic growth and opportunity in Del Paso Heights. StartupSac is one of 42 organizations selected to expand services in the neighborhood.

How to Apply

If you live in Sacramento’s District 2 (including Del Paso Heights, Hagginwood, North Sacramento, etc.) and are ready to launch a business, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Applications are open through June 13, 2025, but spots will be filled on a rolling basis as qualified applicants are accepted. The program is limited to no more than 12 participants, so applying early increases your chances of securing a spot.
