Is making your thing? Or do you want it to become your thing? Then I’ve got some great news for you! Inventopia is teaming up with Bekonix to create a unique kind of event: a month-long Make-A-Thon! With Bekonix’s no-code platform for developing smart devices and the wide range of tools and technologies available at inventopia, you should be able to make almost anything. And along the way, you will have the opportunity to forge new friendships and connections with other makers as you build, dream, and create side-by-side.

Some more good news: you do not need your own project idea to participate. People will be pitching their ideas and forming teams at the first event. The NorCal Make-A-Thon is a four-day event, spread out over five weeks. Sessions are on Saturdays from 2-6 PM at Inventopia in Davis from November 5 – December 3 (Thanksgiving Weekend is a bye). Global Entrepreneurship Week is November 14-18 and our region is exploding with events to celebrate and advance entrepreneurship! A few of the signature events include the Sacramento Entrepreneurial State of the Union on Nov 14, Startup Happy Hour with Sonny Mayugba of Azra Games on Nov 15, 1 Million Cups Sacramento in person at the Carlsen Center on Nov 16, a virtual Mentor Sprint on Nov 16, and the Spark Venture Competition on Nov 16.
