Do you have a tech startup that’s got some traction? The City of Elk Grove just announced the launch of “Pitch Elk Grove,” a startup competition that offers entrepreneurs in the greater Sacramento region a chance to gain visibility, receive mentorship, and win up to $10k in prize money. The contest is being produced by the City of Elk Grove in partnership with StartupSac.

Pitch Elk Grove will provide innovative, early stage, investable startups the opportunity to showcase their companies at a live pitch event to take place Thursday, March 31 in Elk Grove. Startups based in the counties of Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, San Joaquin, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba are eligible to apply online now until Friday, February 18 at 11:59 p.m. More information here.

Food Entrepreneurs

Are you a food entrepreneur looking for some help to get your business going? Alchemist Microenterprise Academy (AMA) is currently accepting applications for its Spring Cohort. AMA is a 12-week business training course designed to make sense of the confusing aspects of starting a food business. You must attend a mandatory online information session (2/1 or 2/8), or watch the on-demand info session, before you apply. The application deadline is February 13 and the cohort begins on March 1.
