In order to do their part in slowing the spread of COVID-19, 1 Million Cups Sacramento is going to practice a little “social distancing” and take the Sacramento chapter of 1 Million Cups into the virtual world for a few weeks. As soon as health experts advise that it is ok to resume normal events, they shall. Until then, please join 1MC Sac on Zoom every Wednesday at 9am to hear two founders present their startups for advice and feedback from an audience of their peers.

The first virtual meeting is this Wednesday, March 18, from 8:45am to 10:30am. Presentations are from 9-10am. The presenting companies are ComplyFit, a state-level license monitoring solution for national and regional crypto fintech companies who must maintain licenses across multiple states; and Humanly, a hiring platform that screens and schedules job candidates at scale, reducing time to hire and providing the best possible candidate experience for all applicants. Both of these companies made the “Elite 8” for the Kings Capitalize contest and Humanly went on to the Final Four.

Here’s how it works…

Click here to download Zoom: https://zoom.us/download. It is available for Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome, Android, and iPhone – in short, you can use it on whatever device you want!

The meeting room will open at 8:45am to allow participants to socialize before things kick off. Your microphone will automatically be muted upon entry, but you are free to unmute it during networking time. However, please keep your microphone muted during presentations so everyone can hear. You do not have to enable your video if you do not wish to.

Every Wednesday at between 8:45 and 9am, just click here to join the event: https://zoom.us/j/848140623. Alternatively, you can enter the following meeting ID into Zoom: 848 140 623. You are free to join late if you are running behind, but please keep yourself muted until Q&A or networking time.

After the presentations and Q&A conclude, the meeting room will stay open until 10:30am to allow further networking. This is more difficult on a web chat, so the 1MC Sac team will assist with this process through some strategic use of technology.

1MC Sac will use some features of Zoom, like “raising hands” during Q&A, so feel free to familiarize yourself with the keyboard shortcuts. However, this is not necessary, and they will let everyone know how to use it during the event. The 1MCSac team intends to keep things simple!
