If our Startup calendar was Santa’s Sleigh, it would be OVERFLOWING! There is a holiday shindig just about every day this week! If you’re looking for a little holiday cheer, look no further. There are smaller, more specialized parties like the WordPress and Women in Data Science get-togethers and then there is the annual BLOW OUT Startup Holiday Party hosted by Startup Grind (where you’ll find us!). If you hail from Placer County, Hacker Lab’s got you covered with a Holiday Day party next week at their NEW Rocklin location. Get out and celebrate now — the rest of the month will be a bit quiet.

The 1 Million Cups tribe is taking a road trip this week to Hacker Lab. If you’ve been wondering what it’s all about and this is a more convenient location for you, do come by Wednesday morning! Two early stage startup founders will present and then you’ll have a chance to give some feedback. It’s one of my favorite startup events! (pssst …. there is free coffee!) Founders — want to present at a 1MC Sac event? Apply here.

For those of you who still have your nose to the grindstone, there are some excellent events to choose from. The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has a 3-part series that begins just before lunch TODAY.  Business Basics will walk you through the key success factors of launching your company. It’s free AND they will provide lunch! Or/and, you can sharpen your legal knowledge at the BBB’s Contracts 101 or Hacker Lab’s Patent Law classes on Wednesday.

There’s lots going on in our tech startup community–check out the details in this week’s Startup Digest. If you’ve organized (or know about) an event we have not included, please submit it here for consideration. And for even more startup information, happenings and resources, visit the StartupSac Website.
