The idea for Sacramento’s sales and marketing accelerator, Valley Extends, originated in a health club sauna where Executive Director Clayton Porscha met real estate developer Larry Kelly who owns McClellan Park. Subsequently, Clayton visited McClellan, and Kelly asked him what he thought. Clayton replied, “I’ll build a startup city. I’ll build something that’s impactful, let’s do it.”

Fast forward to now and Valley Extends is a full service sales and marketing accelerator that helps companies grow, by offering services that impact operations such as – hiring, sales and marketing, back office, payroll and human resources – and they now have 35 companies in their program with plans to grow that number.

I met with Clayton at Valley Extends to learn about his background, the origins of Valley Extends as well as how they help startups grow and scale.
