In the shadow of the Golden 1 Center, government and business leaders from the Sacramento region joined the Greater Sacramento Economic Council at a rally to submit the region’s proposal to bring Amazon’s HQ2 to Sacramento. Dozens of people along with local media turned out to hear Vivek Ranadivé, Mayor Darrel Steinberg, Rep Doris Matui, and others rally the community around their proposal to Amazon.
The mood was one of optimism throughout the event, with both the Mayor, Ranadivé, and Greater Sacramento Economic Council CEO Barry Broome, not asking Amazon to consider Sacramento, but rather, telling Amazon, “Amazon! Sacramento should be your next home!
