If you are a woman founder or a woman who wants to become a founder, there are some exciting events coming up this month and into February that will be of interest to you! Guys — these events are for you as well! Gender diversity includes both men and women!

This Week

Tuesday evening, Startup Grind features a panel discussion with the graduates of FourthWave, an accelerator for female founders. Men and women alike will learn much as they discuss their year long journey in the program! Use promo code “digest” when you register and save $5!

Also Tuesday evening, The Makers Place, a new coworking facility in Sacramento with childcare, has its grand opening reception at 5:30pm. There is no other coworking space in the region that offers onsite childcare!

On Thursday evening, join the Startup Weekend team at Hacker Lab for a free workshop on Coming Up with a Startup Idea. If launching your own company was one of your goals for 2018, this workshop will help you understand the recipe for a good idea!

New ideas are pitched, teams are formed around the favorites and then it gets down to business! It’s a fantastic, hands-on way to learn how to launch a startup! And of course I’ve got a discount code for you! Use “digest” in the promo code and save 35%!
