It’s been an awesome year for Sacramento’s startup community and 2017 is going to be even more so! I/O Labs will open along with their accelerator program, Hacker Lab has a huge new space in Rocklin, is expanding its midtown space and is looking at opening a space in Rancho Cordova, Rocket Dept is opening a new prototyping space, we’ll start to see activity from the RAILS grant funded programs and the Slingshot grant money will be awarded to programs that support mentoring entrepreneurs, coworking and maker spaces. And that is just the tip of the iceberg! Hang on to your seatbelt!

There’s one event happening this week — A Very HTML5 Holiday Fireside Chat on Wednesday at Hacker Lab. They’ve got some awesome guests — Adam Kalsey of Cisco, Mike Machado, founder of MakerHQ, and Carson Gross, CEO of LeadDyno. If you aren’t off doing something holidazical, consider dropping in.

The pace picks up again in January –check out the details below. If you’ve organized (or know about) an event we have not included, please submit it here for consideration. And for even more startup information, happenings and resources, visit the StartupSac Website.
