There are lots of opportunities this week to be FESTIVE! The best bet for Entrepreneurs is the Startup Expo Ugly Christmas Party happening tonight at Hacker Lab. The fun begins at 6:30 pm (more details below). Metro EDGE (the Metro Chamber’s little sister for professionals under 40) is having its annual holiday bash on Tuesday evening. Sac.JS is finishing off the year with Merry Little Lightening Talks, also on Tuesday. Rounding it all out is the NAWBO (National Assc of Women Biz Owners) Holiday Gathering on Thursday. Major props to anyone who makes it to three out of four of these parties! Let me know if you do (must send photo proof!) and I’ll buy you a cup of coffee!
If you’re a Startup Founder, CXO or Investor, Founder Academy wants to hear from you. Please take a moment to complete their end of year Startup Report Card and share your thoughts on how Sacramento is doing as a hub of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Take Survey
Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy still has a few spots open for its 2018 cohort. The program starts January 13 and the final final final application deadline is Friday, December 29. They have some sweet scholarships up for grabs! The 4-month program is $3000, but with a scholarship you’ll pay only $500! And for certain hardship cases, they may offer a full scholarship. More info here.
This is my last message to you before Christmas. In the cherished tradition of including an annual family newsletter in Holiday greeting cards, Jeff and I prepared a StartupSac version for you. You can read it here — we’ve even included photos!
