Apply to Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy. SEA’s in-person cohort program kicks off on January 22 and they still have a few open spots. Apply ASAP if you’re interested–final deadline is this Saturday, January 8. Find out more and apply now.
Apply to Founder Institute. FI is a global accelerator program and the next Sacramento-Silicon Valley cohort is currently accepting applications through Feb 6. FI focuses on helping tech or tech-enabled businesses at the pre-seed stage. including part-time founders with just ideas.
Enroll in the Entrepreneurs Toolkit Series. The Carlsen Center’s 5-part series guides participants through hands-on activities to build an understanding of proven startup tools and apply them to their own businesses. Whether you’re a budding entrepreneur, or an established business owner wanting to brush up on your skills, the Toolkit Series is for you. Meets online on Wednesday evenings. Compete in the UC Davis Big Bang! Business Competition. If your team has at least one founder affiliated with an institution of higher education within California, you are eligible to compete in the Big Bang!, a forum for aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs across California to collaborate, develop and test business ideas—and vie for up to $90,000 in prizes. Check out Mentor Sacramento. Another alternative to help you grow your business is through a relationship with a business mentor. This week’s topic: How do you achieve freedom using constraints? Many falsely believe that creativity is about freedom from constraints.
