Last week I told you about STEMtrunk’s crowdfunding campaign and that prompted a friend to let me know about another local company running a campaign. Check out Huston Textile Company’s Kickstarter Campaign. They’re vision is to make high quality, small-batch cloth, from domestic, sustainable, organic, and climate beneficial fibers.
There are two BIG startup events on the horizon that serious startup folks WILL want to attend! First is TechEdge on March 22, an annual celebration of the growth of the technology industry sector in the Sacramento region. This year, there is a free expo prior to the paid luncheon + speaker event. You NEED to be there!
Next is the 2nd annual Impact Global Venture Summit happening at Golden 1 Center on May 8th. This all day event is offering a limited number of early bird tickets at $100. AND of course we’ve scored a fabulous 75% off discount code for you! Get your ticket now and it’s just $25!!! Use promo code “StartupDigest” to score the discount.
This Week’s Best Bets

When was the last time you checked out 1 Million Cups? Regular attenders know that this weekly coffee forum is an awesome place to make connections with other founders! It’s free to attend and happens Wednesday morning from 9-10 am. This week it’s at Impact Venture Capital and one of the presenters is STEMtrunk, the company I told you is running an Indigogo crowdfunding campaign!.

Tuesday evening, March 20, attend Leveraging Investor Relationships. This seminar will feature presentations from Weintraub Tobin and a panel of investors and founders. Use code “digest” for $20 off!
I already mentioned TechEdge but I’m going to mention it again! This event is near and dear to my heart — while SARTA was alive, I helped organize it for 7 years! I hope to see you there on Thursday morning, March 22!
