While you were relaxing this weekend, about 75 people were focused on changing the world! At Startup Weekend Sustainable Revolution, 40 participants, 9 organizers, 17 coaches and 5 judges reviewed 15 sustainability challenges and together, created 5 brand new startups to solve the world’s environmental problems. I think everyone was a winner (especially our planet Earth!), but three teams stood out as first, second and third place:

  • 1st Place: WeVoPlatform: Civic engagement platform to reduce risk & waste in city development.
  • 2nd Place: Spotter: Spotter pools consumers with deals at restaurants during slow times.
  • 3rd Place: Energy Park: Designing a park for communities with renewable energy & storage.
