StartupSac Happy Hour returns on Wednesday, January 31 with another guest entrepreneur ready to answer your startup, innovation, and entrepreneurial questions. Our guest entrepreneur this month will be Brandon Salzberg, cofounder and VP of Engineering at Rhombus Systems.

Brandon and his cofounder Garrett Larsson launched their most recent startup a year ago. Rhombus Systems offers cloud-based video security systems that provide data analytics reports to its customers. Originally launched in Oakland, Rhombus relocated to Sacramento last summer. Both cofounders are Jesuit High School graduates and had been considering returning to Sacramento to be closer to their families and take advantage of Sacramento’s less competitive tech talent pool, and reduced cost of living. When they were recruited by the Greater Sacramento Economic Council to relocate from the Bay Area, they jumped at the chance.
Rhombus Systems isn’t the first startup for Brandon. He and Larsson founded Mojave Networks, a cloud-based mobile security startup, in 2011 which was purchased in 2014.
Laura Good and I both had the opportunity to sit down with Brandon over coffee a few weeks ago and it was immediately obvious that he has a wealth of entrepreneurial knowledge and experience to share as well as a strong drive to help grow our startup and innovation community here in Sacramento. We knew right then that we had found our first guest entrepreneur for 2018 and when asked, he gladly accepted.
