StartupSac Happy Hour is going virtual in April to do our part in slowing the spread of COVID-19. This month we’re partnering with the Carlsen Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Sac State and welcoming veteran startup founder Jessie Becker Alexander, co-founder of Alydia Health and Entrepreneur In Residence at Sac State Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Jessie is the co-founder of Alydia Health, a medical device company with a novel treatment for postpartum hemorrhage, the #1 cause of maternal death worldwide. In 2013, Alydia was selected as a Company in Residence at the Fogarty Institute for Innovation in Mountain View, CA. In 2015, they completed their First in Human study. That same year, Jessie was named as an honoree to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Healthcare list. Alydia Health raised a Series B round in 2018, led by the Global Health Investment Fund, and is in the midst of a US based IDE clinical trial.
Given the online format of this event, the agenda will differ from our regular Happy Hour events.
