As we wrap up another year it’s only natural to reflect back on the previous year and consider our accomplishments as well as our challenges. 2019 turned out to be a pretty good year for StartupSac as we established new partnerships and expanded our programs. Building on the success of those established programs, and thanks to the support of our SBDC/Metro Chamber partner as well as our corporate sponsors, StartupSac has amplified our impact in the Sacramento startup ecosystem in 2019. Here’s a quick overview.
Overview of What We’ve Done in 2019
- Organized and held 3 StartupSac Warm-Up Pitch Events featuring 16 startup companies and 100+ attendees
- Organized and held 10 StartupSac Happy Hour Events featuring 13 veteran founders and 424 attendees
- Launched StartupSac Office Hours, an informal monthly meetup to introduce people to the Sacramento startup ecosystem
- Organized and held 3 Legal Workshops with attendance totaling 65 attendees
- Organized and held 27 total events with over 700 total attendees
3 StartupSac Warm-Up Pitch Events
We organized and held two pitch competitions, including preparatory workshops, providing 16 area startups with the opportunity to hone their investor pitches and connect with investors.

StartupSac Happy Hour
In 2019 we organized and held ten StartupSac Happy Hour events with 424 total attendees. Each event provided local founders with the opportunity to connect and get feedback from successful veteran area entrepreneurs. Our veteran founders have included:
