THE event to attend this week is the Impact Global Venture Summit at Golden 1 Center today from 2-7pm. 50 startup exhibitors, 20 startup pitches, swarming with investors! Over 800 people confirmed registered and it’s still growing! Students free with valid ID card.
Congratulations to the Startup Weekend Winning teams! 1st place went to ShopTalk! If you want to know more about their awesome idea, attend Startup Hustle Demo night this Thursday. They will give a 3 minute pitch. 2nd place went to Go Half Way and 3rd place (and crowd favorite) to Choosie. 29 ideas were pitched, 7 teams were formed. It was AWESOME! If you’re kicking yourself because you missed it, there is a Startup Weekend in Reno this weekend. Students get a $50 discount with code “student.”
Founders – make sure our city is represented on 2016’s Global Startup Ecosystem Report. Policymakers and other leaders often base their actions on Startup Genome’s research. Take this survey.
