For the first virtual edition of StartupSac Happy Hour, we teamed up with the Carlsen Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Sac State and welcomed as our AMA guest, veteran startup founder Jessie Becker Alexander, co-founder of Alydia Health and Entrepreneur In Residence at Sac State Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
After some brief networking using Zoom’s breakout rooms Jessie shared the origin of her startup. Through the Q&A session we learned about some of challenges Jessie faced as a woman founder and CEO, the challenges developing a medical device, keeping her team motivated during the long pre-funding and pre-revenue stages of the startup and more.
