In celebration and recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month StartupSac and the Carlsen Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Sac State welcomed Gina Lujan as our guest for September’s StartupSac Happy Hour.
Gina is a Social Entrepreneur, focusing on building community, business development, innovation, strategic planning and regional economic development at Hacker Lab. Gina possesses 21 years’ technology experience and 27 years in business.
The interview started off with an engaging fireside chat between Gina and StartupSac co-founder Laura Good. The audience learned Gina’s origin story and the influence of Hispanic heritage in her life. Gina shared stories of her multiple entrepreneurial ventures and lessons that she has learned along the way. We learned the motivation for the launch of HackerLab, Sacramento’s first maker space, and throughout the discussion learned the importance of cultivating community in all of Gina’s endeavors.
