Welcome to the Sacramento Startup Digest!
There is SO MUCH going on this week! If you can’t find something that interests you, maybe you just aren’t that interested in startups and the tech scene? (ok. ok. that was a bit judgy).
You’ll find me this Tuesday at Equity Crowdfunding: What’s New in Startup Finance. This free workshop is offered by the InnoGrove Foundation and the presenters are from Norman Roos LLP. They’ll bring you up-to-date on all the SEC rules and regulations so you can decide if equity crowdfunding is right for you.
This weekend, Hacker Lab kicks off its Summer of IoT Hackathon. This free event starts Saturday morning and the teams who pitch the 15 best ideas will be awarded an Intel Edison and Grove Starter Kit Plus to bring their ideas to life. Demos, judging and PRIZES happen Sunday afternoon. If you’re an engineer, developer or coder, you should check it out!
Plan Ahead
On Thursday, July 28, Startup Grind Sacramento is hosting it’s 2nd Annual Startup Party at The Urban Hive. If you attended last year (and about 250 of you did) you know what a blast it will be! It’s free to attend but please sign up in advance–it might sell out.
On Friday, July 29, TedX Sacramento presents a Salon Event — Art, Technology and the City — at the Crocker Art Museum. I love TedX Sacramento and I encourage you to attend! It’s one of the best things happening in Sacramento!
