Last week we held our biggest, most successful StartupSac Happy hour event ever. Fueled by the promise of a dynamic local startup founder as well as food and drink by our event sponsors, KiwiTech and Witan Law, we demolished all previous attendance records as 65 people turned out to get their startup questions answered.
Once again we had a great veteran entrepreneur come out to share his experience and expertise with the audience. Trifecta Systems co-founder Greg Connolly, fielded a range of startup questions from the audience and we recorded it once again to share with a broader community.
After providing a background about the origins of his fifth startup, Greg opened it up to field questions from the audience.
Some of the insights include:
- Advice on bootstrapping
- Staying ahead of competitors
- Striking a balance between spending time researching a market and speed to market
- Ways of getting feedback from your customers
- What contributed to the enormous growth Trifecta has seen (hint social media and influencer marketing)
- How to structure your day to maximize time and be most effective
- What is something that if you really screw up will stop you in your tracks
- What mistakes have other food delivery startups made
- The thought process involved in acquiring key technology company as part of the business model
- Key first hires
- What was your scariest moment and how did you bounce back from that
- Key social media channels for influencer marketing
- Book recommendations for early entrepreneurs
- And more
