It’s Thanksgiving Week — time to ponder what we are thankful for. If you’re thankful that you receive the Sacramento Startup Digest every week (for free!) how about sending out this tweet?
“I support innovation and entrepreneurship in the Sacramento Region! Please RT if you support it too! #swsac #sactech” Click to Tweet
Your tweet can make a difference in the Global Hashtag Battle! Your Startup Weekend Sacramento team has been competing since November 12th in this battle to put Sacramento on the Startup map! We’re in the top 10 GLOBALLY and it would be great to finish in one of those coveted spots. We don’t win anything but bragging rights but how cool to see Sacramento get global recognition for our Startup Enthusiasm! Tweet or Retweet anything startup related with the #SWSac hashtag now through December 1st to help us out!
Big News!
I/O Labs, a 40,000 square foot innovation space supporting entrepreneurs, founders, investors, and startups is coming to Sacramento! The new space will house Sacramento’s largest community of innovators, along with technology, design, civic innovation, urban prototyping and media labs. Opening is planned for early 2016. Find out more here.
Heads Up
The Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy is currently accepting applications for their Class of 2016 Entrepreneurs through mid-December. Wannabe entrepreneurs of all ages (i.e. not just college students) are encouraged to apply! Scholarships are available.
It’s a slow week for events because we’re all taking a Thanksgiving break but there are some cool things happening in December — check them out on the Startup Digest Sacramento calendar.
Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving!
