In person events in our startup community are starting to spring up again after a two year hiatus. Most notably, this Thursday’s Pitch Elk Grove will welcome 150 people to come together to reconnect and witness the pitches of eight promising startup companies as they compete for serious prize money. Attendees will even get to vote for the audience favorite! It’s sure to be a festive atmosphere with appetizers, drinks and even cupcakes, as well as an engaging emcee, Sacramento startup legend Sonny Mayugba! It’s free to attend so come on out and celebrate spring, the (currently) waning pandemic, and your fellow startup enthusiasts! Details here.

There are still plenty of virtual events as well if you are not quite ready to mingle in person or if your time is limited. Virtual events are quite convenient and give more people an opportunity to benefit from the information that is shared. Expect to see workshop and seminar type events continue to be offered virtually, even once the threat of Covid is greatly reduced.. 1 Million Cups Sacramento, the popular weekly meetup where entrepreneurs share their businesses with an audience of their peers for advice and feedback is going to continue to meet virtually for at least another couple of months.
