Power Inn Alliance has announced the finalists of its second annual Making Your Mark (MYM). The Making Your Mark micro-manufacturing business competition was developed to encourage entrepreneurs to compete for the chance to establish a business in the Power Inn District and be awarded a business start-up package with essential resources and tools to turn a dream into reality.
The contest identifies a rising star in micro-manufacturing to support the business making the leap to commercialization.
Making Your Mark 2018 Finalists include:
- California Sunlight Company develops and manufactures cutting-edge next generation solar energy technology ranging from silver balloon solar, active daylighting, solar powered BBQ, micro-CPV, self-powered solar tracker, solar thermal with storage, solar water heater, to solar table lamp, charger, and generator.
- Liquid Flower offers affordable medical cannabis solutions using whole plant extracts which optimize cannabinoids for its therapeutic health and beauty products that are free from preservatives, harmful ingredients and bring healing and relief to the most common ailments of today. Liquid Flower is a veteran-owned company.
- Robotics Evolution produces robots and robot arenas for competition. With four 3D printers, a laser cutter and working with local manufactures we are also producing kits and parts for combat, sumo and walking robots for competitions and educational purposes.
The official winner will be announced October 5 on National Manufacturing Day. The winner will receive a start-up prize package worth more than $50,000 in goods and services.
