If you haven’t already had your fill of startup presentations in the last week from Startup Weekend and yesterday’s Impact Global Venture Summit, you still have a couple of opportunities this week. Tomorrow night, as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, Sac State Center for Entrepreneurship will be hosting the 2016 Sac State “Pitch” Competition 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM in The University Union, The Hinde Auditorium. Students will have the opportunity to pitch any business idea they want in front of a panel of judges, venture capitalists, and millionaire business owners. The top three business ideas will win $1,200, $800, and $500!!! Winners will also have the opportunity to represent Sacramento State in the National “Future Four” competition! Learn more about the event on their Facebook event page.
On Thursday night, Hacker Lab’s latest cohort of Startup Hustle will be on stage, featuring 10 startup pitches. Over the past six weeks, the Startup Hustle cohort has been working overtime to investigate customer problems, create solutions, and discover a business model. They’ve done their homework and identified big opportunities. Now it’s time to show off what they’ve created and share with you what’s needed to get their idea to the next level. Networking starts at 5:30 and presentations start at 6:00 at Hacker Lab’s midtown location. RSVP to meet the newest startups in town!
These are just two of the many events happening this week as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week Sacramento. Check out the full calendar to find more.
