Attention food entrepreneurs! Looking for guidance in launching your food business? Alchemist Microenterprise Academy (AMA) has announced their next cohort.
AMA is a 12-week business training course designed to cover the fundamentals of starting and growing a food business. AMA targets entrepreneurs in the greater Sacramento region, particularly those who are from low-income backgrounds or under-resourced communities The Fall 2021 cohort will be mostly held on Zoom with a few optional in-person meetings.
In AMA, participants will learn:

- Financial Literacy and How to Access Capital
- How to Navigate Permits
- Human Resources and Legal considerations
- Food Safety
- Product Development
- Product Pricing
- Marketing

A prerequisite to the program is attendance at one of several AMA information sessions. AMA is having these sessions every Tuesday and Wednesday until August 18th. These Information Sessions will explain about the program and how to apply. It is mandatory to attend one of these AMA Information Sessions in order to apply for the program.
