For the next 1 Million Cups Sacramento we’ll be changing the venue up and moving east down Highway 50 at Velocity Venture Capital’s Entrepreneur’s Campus at 909 Mormon Street in Folsom! This building is a 100 year old school building and a hub for innovation! We have two new startup presenting next week: Fresher USA and Tap2Teach.
RSVP on the 1 Million Cups Sacramento Facebook page and learn more about our two presenting startups this week below.

Fresher USA
FresherUSA, beginning with Fresher Sacramento, has the first authorization in the country for use of SNAP (formerly food stamps) funds for prepared take home meals, along with fresh produce and value-added products. We are placing Fresher Chefs at locations in neighborhoods of need, like La Familia in Fruitridge, the Boys and Girls Club in Lemon Hill, the Pannell Community Center in Meadowview, St. Paul’s Church in Oak Park, a senior center in Curtis Park and Phoenix Park, a section 8 housing community near Mack Rd. Through collective purchase, prep and distribution where people are already picking up their children, coming home from work or attending activities, we can make healthier food way more convenient, affordable, attractive, and environmentally friendly than typical fast food choices. We aim to reduce food insecurity by half in five years and eliminate it entirely within ten, so that everyone goes to bed well-fed.
