Your Entrepreneurial Journey Begins Here

Each year, SEA selects a cohort of high-potential fellows to embark on a four-month entrepreneurship program. They seek innovative thinkers from a wide variety of backgrounds, fostering a rich diversity of perspectives.

Dive into Entrepreneurship Realities

On Saturday mornings, from January through April, fellows delve into the details of entrepreneurship, learning the ropes of starting and running a business. Accomplished entrepreneurs and other mentors share their personal experiences, covering critical topics such as marketing, equity division, financing, and legal considerations.

Collaborative Business Planning

Early in the program, fellows join forces to develop comprehensive business plans. Throughout the program, they receive valuable input from board members, alumni, and guest speakers to refine their plans. The culmination of this journey is a business presentation to a gathering of around 200 Sacramento area business leaders.

The SEA Legacy: Shaping Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs

Since their inception in 1986, SEA has graduated over 800 fellows, many of whom have successfully launched businesses and now mentor the next generation of entrepreneurs. Their commitment to supporting entrepreneurship continues post-graduation, with ongoing educational programs, networking events, and social gatherings for their alumni.

Who is the SEA Program For?

SEA invites applications from a diverse range of individuals, including working professionals, college students, and those with some college or work experience. You don’t need a formal degree to apply – your passion for entrepreneurship is what matters most to us.

Starting Your Journey with SEA

If you’re ready to become part of the SEA community, it all begins with a simple step – completing the application form. Once you’ve done that, and if your application aligns with SEA’s criteria, you’ll receive an invitation to meet with SEA’s staff and board members. After the interview, you’ll be notified about your acceptance into the upcoming class.

Key Dates:

  • Application Deadline: December 15, 2023 (extended)
  • Rolling Acceptance: Interviews scheduled upon application receipt
  • Program Start: January 13, 2024
  • Program End: April 27, 2024
  • Showcase: May 2, 2024
  • Graduation: May 8, 2024

Program Fees

  • Students: $750
  • Professionals: $1,500
  • Team of 2 or more: 25% discount on fees
