What is the Alchemist Microenterprise Academy?

The Alchemist Microenterprise Academy is specifically designed for those interested in launching a food business. Whether you are from a low-income background or an under-resourced community, AMA offers critical knowledge on business financing, marketing, permitting, and crafting a comprehensive business plan. Structured to support around 20 participants per session, the Spring 2025 cohort will run from February 25 to May 14, primarily online, providing an interactive and engaging learning environment with guest speakers and a community of fellow entrepreneurs.

Who Should Apply?

AMA is ideal for individuals passionate about starting their own food business but who may lack the resources or knowledge to do so effectively. The program targets those from low-income or under-resourced communities, aiming to equip them with the necessary tools and support for success. Participants in AMA will also be eligible to apply for the Alchemist Kitchen Incubator Program (AKIP), which provides up to five years of one-on-one mentorship for qualifying businesses.

How to Apply

To apply for the AMA program, attendance at an information session is mandatory. They are offering four live-on-Zoom information sessions on Wednesdays (January 22, 29, and February 5) from 6-7 PM.
