The longest day of 2017 is officially this Wednesday, June 21 although technically it occurs in our time zone at 9:24 PM on Tuesday, June 20. The solstice marks the first day of summer but doesn’t it seem kinda wonky that the days get shorter following it? I mean, hey–if you’re the start of summer, shouldn’t things be picking up instead of tapering off? Where am I going with all of this? While summer often means taking vacations and enjoying more outdoor activities, for the entrepreneur, that likely is not the case. No matter what season of the year, if you’re launching a startup you need to be grinding! Hopefully, with longer days, the “wee hours of the night” won’t seem quite so late. Or maybe your circadian rhythms will kick in and you’ll feel like working longer because the sun is still shining. And the silver lining of summer, even if you work your usual late hours, there might still be some daylight left when you throw in the towel for the evening! Do the seasons impact your productivity or work attitude?
