Global Entrepreneurship Week Returns to Sacramento in 2018, November 12 – 18
Each year, startup communities around the world join in a global celebration of entrepreneurship during Global Entrepreneurship Week in November. The initiative, powered by the Kauffman Foundation and championed by the Global Entrepreneurship Network, is supported by dozens of world leaders and a network of more than 15,000 partner organizations.
Since becoming a Global Entrepreneurship Week partner in 2016, StartupSac has featured a calendar of GEW events going on in the Sacramento region and this year we’re continuing that tradition. We’ve started a Sacramento Global Entrepreneurship Week 2018 calendar for a quick and easy glance at the events that will be going on during the week of November 12 – 18.
Highlights of the week include Startup Grind on Tuesday, StartupSac Warm-Up Pitch event on Wednesday, and StartupSac Happy Hour and Startup Hustle Demo Night on Thursday.
Additionally, Sacramento State has a host of events that they’re planning and we’ll be adding those as they become finalized. Is your organization planning an entrepreneurship-focused event during the week? Let us know and we’ll add it to the calendar.
Opportunities to Participate in the Global Celebration
In addition to local events, there are opportunities to participate in the celebration of entrepreneurship on a global scale. For example, the Startup Radio Network is looking to feature startup stories from entrepreneurs around the world. They are looking for startup founders interested in sharing their entrepreneurial journey as it relates to their home country. If you would like to be on one of the shows, or if you know of an entrepreneur who would be a good fit for the show, fill out this form.
