Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) wrapped up a few weeks ago and when all was said and done, the Sacramento region saw nearly three dozen events for entrepreneurs. The Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship was the lead organizer and coordinator in the Sacramento area for dozens of entrepreneurship-focused events. The Carlsen Center’s Executive Director Cameron Law summed up the week in a recent article.
“As we look at GEW, its role is as a catalyst and on-ramp for entrepreneurs to connect to the regional startup community and entrepreneurial ecosystem. In one week, at the 2021 GEW, we elevated the region’s ecosystem of people, places, and programs through the over 35 events offered, 30 startups pitches, 50+ guest speakers, and 100+ speed-mentoring sessions. The energy surrounding the week demonstrates the momentum this community and region has around supporting its entrepreneurs.” ~ Cameron Law
The Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship was ranked 4th in the nation for the number of activities run as an individual partner. We were also ranked 12th in the world.
A side-benefit of virtual events is that they’re easy to record. The Carlsen Center has organized the recordings from all of their events on a handy YouTube playlist.

Not included on that playlist are the events that StartupSac organized during Global Entrepreneurship Week this year. Check out video recordings of those events here.
